Your Denizen account can receive incoming wires. While Denizen does not charge any wire fees, the sending bank typically will.
We're not able to send wires at the moment but if you have an activated Denizen IBAN and US routing/account number you can often avoid the need for a wire all together. You can also utilize our linked account transfer feature as well.
Is it Domestic or International?
At Denizen we are working hard to eliminate the borders that exist in finance but it's just the start of the journey. For now, we have the below guide to help you understand if you need a domestic or international wire.
- € to € with an IBAN and sending bank Eurozone based
- $ to $ with a Routing/Account Number and sending bank USA based
A wire will generally be considered international if it doesn't meet the Domestic criteria, for example if you're wiring from Canada Dollar to your Euro IBAN.
When will the wire arrive?
Domestic wires typically take 1-2 business days, depending on the time the wire is sent. International wires can take several business days longer, depending on how many banks and timezones they pass through.
Wires typically post to your account on the business day it's received and processed by our partner banks and can post to your account throughout the day.
